Scientific
Sjoerd van der Burg
Sjoerd H. van der Burg received his Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Leiden, the Netherlands. He is currently an associate professor at the department of clinical oncology of the LUMC where he leads the experimental cancer immunology and therapy group. He has extensive experience with the monitoring of human T-cell responses and exploits this to guide the development of therapeutic vaccines against cancer. He has dedicated a great deal of his scientific life to study immunity to Human Papilloma Virus induced diseases.

Ton Ottenhof
Tom H. M. Ottenhoff, MD, PhD is professor in Immunology heading the group Immunology and Immunogenetics of Bacterial Infectious Diseases at the LUMC. His mission is to dissect host immunological and genetic mechanisms of protective and pathologic immunity in infectious diseases, with the aim is to design optimal therapeutic and preventive intervention strategies, and establish biomarkers of disease and protection. He participates in numerous multinational and multilateral collaborative programs with laboratories and fields sites worldwide. His research has been embedded in large international alliances funded by EU, WHO, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (Grand Challenges in Gobal Health), etc.

Clinical
Gemma Kenter
Gemma Kenter is a professor in oncological gynaecology at the LUMC with special interest in immunotherapy. Her PhD (1991) concerned several aspects of treatment and prognostic factors of cervical carcinoma. She is responsible for the clinical immunotherapy studies in women with HPV related disorders of the cervix and vulva.

Hans Nijman
Hans W. Nijman is an experienced clinician in the field of gynaecologic oncology and staff member as gynaecologic oncologist at the University Medical Center Groningen since January 2003. His main focus of (translational) research is in the field of tumorimmunology and immunotherapy. As principal investigator he has been responsible for several clinical trials. He is appointed as Professor in Gynaecologic Oncology and Immunotherapy since March 2008 at the University of Groningen.

Manufacturing
Jan Wouter Drijfhout
Jan Wouter Drijfhout holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. He is initiator and head of the peptide synthesis facility of the LUMC and has over 20 years of experience in peptide-related basic and applied research. He is involved in several research projects that are directed to the development of new pharmaceuticals and diagnostics. He has been on the basis of the GMP-peptide facility of the LUMC.

Jaap Oostendorp
Jaap Oostendorp (PhD) is pharmacist and has a background in molecular pharmacology and immunology. He supervises the GMP facility at the LUMC, a sub-department of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy & Toxicology, and is heavily involved in the production and development of investigational medicinal products for (cancer) immunotherapy, including synthetic peptide-based vaccines.
